THE OSBOURNES' '20/20' Appearance Draws Huge Ratings

The Osbournes' "20/20" chat with Barbara Walters, which aired last Wednesday, attracted 15.3 million viewers, the newsmagazine's highest rating in the young adult demo in more than two years, according to Hits Daily Double.

As reported here yesterday, Sharon Osbourne has signed a deal with Telepictures Productions, a division of Warner Bros. Television, to host a syndicated talk show scheduled to premiere next fall. The show's focus will center on a single issue, similar to "The Oprah Winfrey Show", rather than a variety format akin to the defunct "Rosie" or so many late-night programs.
